Mayor Pengra to Resign

Mayor Chris Pengra announced today that he has accepted a position with Rocky Mountain Power as Economic Development Director. To prevent any perceived conflict of interest, Mayor Pengra will resign as mayor prior to starting his employment with Rocky Mountain Power. His last day with Eagle Mountain City will be August 18. Mayor Pengra previously announced he would not be seeking re-election. 

Following is information regarding the vacancy for the office of mayor:

The City Council of Eagle Mountain City, Utah, will convene a special meeting on August 14, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. at Eagle Mountain City Hall, 1650 E. Stagecoach Run, Eagle Mountain, Utah, to consider candidates for office of Mayor of Eagle Mountain and to appoint a person to the office of Mayor to serve the unexpired term of office ending January 1, 2018, created by the resignation of Mayor Chris Pengra (pursuant to UCA 20A-1-510).
